Liveliness, sustainability and public interaction enliven the centrally located building location with the surrounding area visually and functionally. The aim is to improve the quality of the area with an intelligent rejuvenation impulse.
Nineteen solitary rectangular elements rise vertically from the ground and form floating gardens. They are visually set in motion and contrast with the light eyes of the main station. Columns, walls, curtain walls and ramps form a tower-like structure on levels of different heights, in which order and disorder mix as a symbol of liveliness. The ensemble invites people to Stuttgart and expands urban life. An entrance plaza in the southeast welcomes people coming into the park from the station entrance. In addition, a smaller square in the northwest invites visitors from Athener Straße.
Dancing lines form a diverse, dynamic landscape where people of all generations can meet and move. Viewing platforms where people can easily find each other, surrounded by the laughter and joy of children who remind us of a bright future. The landscape offers views of the bright eyes of the train station and the park, as the building height increases towards the Rosenstein buildings and the LBBW building. The uses on the roofs are divided into private and public spaces. The green roofs are marked as private spaces and are not accessible. These are roofs of biological diversity. The spaces accessible for activities via ramps are considered public spaces. They are areas that evoke unique movements and thoughts and appeal physically and mentally. The platforms offer freedom for creative expression. Inside, there is a large colonnaded hall, rooms as a model factory for participatory workshops, an information and visitor center, administrative offices, art studios, exhibition and event rooms and services.
The space as a whole is designed for movement and is constantly revitalized and designed by the actors.
