Stuttgart Rosenstein project background
Stuttgart Rosenstein is located between the existing districts Mitte [Centre], Nord [North], Ost [East] and Bad Cannstatt. The new district shall remove the previous division between the neighbourhoods, in particular the one between Stuttgart-Nord and -Ost, as well as strengthen the connection to the city centre and the central station.

Stuttgart-Mitte
Stuttgart’s central core – the Mitte district – is located south of the development area. Besides the shopping mile Königsstrasse it's the cultural centre of the city with the opera, state gallery and other museums.

Stuttgart-Ost
In the east, Stuttgart’s Schlossgarten, is directly adjacent to the development area Rosenstein. The district is characterised by workers’ settlements. The historic industrial charm is reflected in the district’s landmark – the gas boiler.

Stuttgart-Nord
The subarea northwest of Wolframstrasse belongs to Stuttgart-Nord. This district is characterised by its versatile charm. Many parks in the surrounding amke the north very attractive. The “Eisenbahnerdörfle” is a lively residential area.

Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt
With its 18 neighbourhoods, Bad Cannstatt is Stuttgart’s largest and oldest city district. It borders on the Rosenstein development area. Bad Cannstatt attracts many visitors with the Wilhelma, the Mercedes-Benz Museum and Arena as well as the spas.
